What you agree to when you use the site, apply to be listed, write a review or pay for Pro.
Who we are
buysellbelize.com is run by Belize Web Design, Belize. By using the site you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Accounts
- One person, one account. You are responsible for what is done with your account and for keeping your password to yourself.
- You must be 18 or older.
- We may close an account that breaks these terms.
Being listed
- Listing is free. No business goes live until a person at BuySellBelize has called your references, reviewed your photos and confirmed your accounts. We may refuse an application and will tell you why.
- Everything you submit must be true and yours. A false reference, an AI, stock or borrowed photo, or misleading details remove the listing and may bar future applications.
- You may only apply for a business you have the right to represent.
- You keep your Google Business Profile connected. A listing disconnected for 30 days or more is removed until you reconnect it.
- We re-check every listing after 12 months and may ask for fresh references or photos.
- A report that a person upholds removes the listing. You can email us to talk about it.
Your content
What you upload stays yours. You give us permission, free of charge, to show it on buysellbelize.com, in its search results and in previews of the site (for example when someone shares your profile) for as long as your listing or your review is published. You confirm you have the right to give that permission, including for the people in your photos.
Reviews
- One account, one review per business. Write about a real experience of your own.
- Do not review your own business, a competitor's, or in exchange for payment or favours. Do not review to get back at someone.
- No insults, no other people's personal details, nothing unlawful.
- A person reads every review before it appears and may hide or delete any that break this. If a listing is removed, its reviews stop showing.
- Google reviews are shown as Google publishes them; we neither edit them nor answer for them.
Pro
- Pro costs BZ$49 a month, billed yearly by a PayPal invoice we send. It switches on when it is paid.
- We remind you 30 days before it is due. If it is not renewed within 14 days after that, the listing goes back to the free Verified plan; nothing is deleted.
- If we remove a listing for breaking these terms, the current year is not refunded. If we remove a listing through our own mistake, we refund the unused part.
- We may change the price for the following year, with notice before the invoice is sent.
What is not allowed
Copying the directory in bulk, using robots to extract data, spamming businesses or members, pretending to be another person or business, or trying to get into someone else's account.
What we do not guarantee
We verify that the business exists, that real references recommend it, and that its photos and accounts are its own, at the time of verification. We do not guarantee the quality, price or safety of any business's work, or that the Google, Facebook or Instagram information we show is current. Any dealing is between you and the business.
The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, Belize Web Design is not liable for losses that come from using the site or from dealing with a listed business. Nothing here limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Belize and any dispute is settled in the courts of Belize.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we note it here with the date and email business owners. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
